Beyonce Workout

The Beyonce workout focuses on cardio, interval training, ab work, and a healthy diet. Beyonce focuses on Power Moves, where you move all 4 major joints at once. Power Moves were created by her trainer, Marco Borges. The idea behind Power Moves is that by moving all 4 major body joints, you work out faster and smarter.

In turn, you’re expending more energy (and more calories). Beyonce’s trainer, Marco Borges, is all about exercises that work multiple joints. Marco Borges has Beyonce trying to work her Shoulders (S), Hips (H), Elbows (E), and Knee (K) as often as possible.

Beyonce has a busy lifestyle, so she takes advantage of Borges’ Power Moves to get in shape fast. In the Beyonce workout below, each exercise has a corresponding (S,E,H,K) to indicate what joints are being worked.

Total Body Circuit & Cardio

Beyonce starts all her workouts with a 5 minute warm up. Beyonce then does circuit training. The Beyonce workout tries to go for 12-15 reps of each exercise. You may not be able to do that many starting off, but at least work your way up to that level. Rest for a minute at the end, each time you do this circuit. Then, repeat 2-3 more times.

Total Body Circuit: 3-4 circuits (do a set of each exercise, then move to the next)

The four Power Moves come from your joints:

  1. Hip (H)
  2. Knee (K)
  3. Shoulder (S)
  4. Elbow (E)

11-Week Bikini Boot Camp Challenge!

Alright, so here’s the deal. Summer will soon be upon us. Actually, the weather across most of the U.S. is probably telling most of you that it’s already here. But the truth is, it’s only March, which means you still have time to get into beach-ready shape and sculpt your best bikini body! And, you can do it with me! ;)

Fit Sugar recently shared this epic list of 11 boot camp style workouts, all aimed at helping you get ready for bikini season. My goal is to try them all, and I want you to do it with me! Starting today, every Saturday up until June 2nd (11 Saturdays from now) I’ll be completing a new Bikini Boot Camp Workout from the list and posting it here to help remind you to get your bikini bottom in tip top shape! (P.S. Fellas, I know you’re probably not planning to throw on a bikini before you head to the beach, but you can totally join in on this challenge if you want a “beachin’ body!”)

Of course, just one workout a week won’t yield the kind of results we’re looking for here, so remember to use this as an extra supplement to your normal weekly workout routine, which should also include a clean, healthy diet! Deal? Deal!
